Our Story
More Than a Gift Shop
Our gift shop was created by A Very Special Place, Inc. with a simple but powerful belief: that every person, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to work, contribute, and connect with their community.
Staffed by participants from AVSP's Day Habilitation and Supported Employment programs, the shop is a real, functioning workplace. Working alongside job assistants each shift, participants rotate through cashier, greeter, and sales associate roles, building critical job skills and preparing to enter the workforce outside of AVSP.
