Since 1989, The Special Strokes for Special Folks Golf Outing has raised over 2.2 million dollars to help empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fuller lives.

The outing, said to be the second largest golf outing in New York City, is one of our major fundraising activities held every year.

The event is a fun-filled day of golf for more than 250 guests, followed by an awards dinner and silent auction.  Golfing takes place as a double shotgun format, with morning and afternoon play to accommodate the growing demand to participate in the event. Players compete in contests for prizes, including a hole-in-one prize on each par three on the course. Team awards are given for gross score, net score and most honest team, as well as many other exciting contests.

Each year, we are thankful for and count on the support of the many sponsors, donors/in-kind donors, players and volunteers who help to make the golf outing a success.  Plans are already underway for next year’s outing in, August of 2018. Please check back soon for updated information and to learn how you can help support this great event!
